Motion sickness from video games11/3/2023 ![]() Doom and Descent were the worst for me, Duke Nukem 3D was slightly less bad. It's just what you get your brain used to. I have this problem, although old games made me motion sick when I was younger too (I just didn’t care when I was a kid). Googling didnt yield many results on motion/simulator-sickness friendly games. Over time you will build a tolerance and will be able to play for longer without feeling sick, eventually will stop feeling sick altogether. While playing or watching a Source game, the user may begin to experience nausea, dizziness, motion sickness or eyestrain. In 2018, researchers in Australia conducted two small trials. Motion sickness occurs because your brain receives conflicting inputs. What gamers are not strangers to however, are the all-too-common cases of motion sickness, nausea and dizziness associated with playing FPS games. It can happen when you’re playing a game that simulates motion using headsets, 3-D video, or complicated graphics on large screens.
